Born in Australia and raised in libraries, A.J. Caster writes original dark fairy tales full of lore and longing.

 

A School of Death and Other Magics, her first published short story, was written during a cyclone. With the power out and the wind tearing at her doors and windows like a howling beast; a tale of necromantasy was born.

 

She enjoys scribbling stories in her many notebooks while cuddling with her lap obsessed dog, and regarded at a safe no-touching distance by her grouchy, affection allergic cat.
